TP-Link TP-MR3220 fails to boot with JFFS2 images

It appears that trying to use jffs2 image on tp-link tl-mr3220 router kills it. There's one report about this on forum from last July. I also just killed one of them by doing sysupgrade from squashfs to jffs2 and another one by installing jffs2 image via tplink webinterface.
Attached log from console port showing what happens after router is flashed with jffs2 image. Using r29237 from downloads.openwrt.org.
Router can be recovered by adding serial port and flashing squashfs version using tftp following instructions from OpenWrt wiki.
