Loading batman-adv kernel module report "Unknown symbol crc32c" and others

Description

Hi. I followed the instructions on
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3040 and downloaded
http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3040-v2-squashfs-factory.bin
for my TP-Link MR3040 box, and was able to get openwrt activated by
uploading it in the default firmware web interface.

But when I try to install kmod-batman-adv using 'opkg install
kmod-batman-adv', the batman-adv kernel module fail to load and dmesg
show this message:

[ 2459.870000] batman_adv: Unknown symbol crc16_table (err 0)
[ 2459.870000] batman_adv: Unknown symbol crc16 (err 0)
[ 2459.880000] batman_adv: Unknown symbol crc32c (err 0)

Anyone know what is wrong? Some version skew between kernel modules?
What is the best way to convert the MR3040 to a batman-adv mesh node?

'uname -a' report this version:

Linux OpenWrt 3.10.18 #1 Fri Nov 8 22:13:29 PST 2013 mips GNU/Linux

I continued testing, and finally was able to get the batman-adv kernel module loaded by first loading crc16 manually. In other words, this worked:

root@OpenWrt:~# modprobe crc16
root@OpenWrt:~# modprobe batman_adv
root@OpenWrt:~#

Is the batman-adv kernel module missing a dependency?

I confirm this error in the current trunc:
[ 322.880000] batman_adv: Unknown symbol crc16 (err 0)
[ 322.880000] batman_adv: Unknown symbol crc32c (err 0)

this problem is fixed since a long time:
https://github.com/openwrt-routing/packages/commit/b5a0b783ee792f070f8bc286575a26217be21b64

from which repo you are download or building batman-adv?
which version has batman-adv?
