I have tried madwifi 0.9.3 and various other branches

And the one that seems to work best (on both brcm-2.6 and ixp4xx)
is madwifi-hal-0.9.30.10

0.9.3 I get wierd connection spikes (for 4 seconds every so often which is annoying) and it segfaults completely with xscale.

105-109 are not needed anymore.

110-111 maybe should be resynced from madwifi-refcount branch (there is a lot of fuzz and I don't know enough about it to know whether it is correct or not) - does apply though and compile.

I think we should just start with the base madwifi 0.9.3 release and pull in some patches as we see fit (new HAL, refcount, etc.). As far as I can tell, 0.9.3 works at least as well as 0.9.2 so far.

I think 112-fixed_ibss_bssid.patch is no longer needed either.

That is correct. 112-fixed_ibss_bssid.patch can be removed. This set of patches gives me less crashes than I had before (but still does crash with multiple BSSID and AP/STA WDS bridging configurations). Of course station and AP modes are completely stable.

Does MAC changing via 'iwconfig ath0 hw ether XX:...:XX' and channel noise reporting working correctly with this new 0.9.3?
