#4051 closed defect (fixed)

The kernel does not properly probe for and initialize NPE-A for the Intel KIXRP435 board

Reported by: ddickey@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: kernel Version:
Keywords: Cc:

The kernel support for the KIXRP435 board is based on that for the IXDP425 board, which is somewhat different.
The IXDP425 has NPE-B and NPE-C, while the KIXRP435 has NPE-A and NPE-C.
I'm not sure exactly what other differences there are, but this is very noticeable at OpenWrt boot time.

I created a patch to fix this support for the KIXRP435 and will attach it to this ticket. Please include it in the tree.
It puts NPE-C on eth0 for the LAN and NPE-A on eth1 for the WAN.

I opened a Ticket
Have you successful boot OpenWrt on KIXRP435 board ?

I tried with initramfs image and, after pre-init, execution block with this message

Freeing init memory: 688K
- preinit -
Press CTRL-C for failsafe
firmware: requesting NPE-A
firmware: requesting NPE-A

As you see the CTRL+C do not works.
