I get the same error building for wgt634u, on head checked out today. What's going on with this? I found a message in February from Stefan Monnier saying that CONFIG_IDE_GD kernel parameter which creates ide-gd_mod.ko, the proper replacement for ide-disk.ko. Did this never get rolled in, or did it get removed? I don't know where to insert Stefan's solution.

Compiled fine on a clean checkout of r15425.
Please try "make distclean" and "make clean".

The same error raised its ugly head in r15557 again.
This time a "make distclean" did not help.

Please reopen.

Workaround (if you use "Select all packages by default") is to deselect the following kernel modules:

  1. kmod-ide-aec62xx
  2. kmod-ide-it821x
  3. kmod-ide-core

It's still an issue in r15772 for Marvel Orion and kernel 2.6.28.

Trunk: r15772
Feed "packages": same revision as trunk, all packages installed
Feed "luci": r4507, all packages installed

Build Environment: Debian 5.0

Target System: Marvel Orion
Target Image: SquashFS image
Kernel: 2.6.28
Global build settings: Select all packages by default
Call: make V=99

comment:9 Changed 7 years ago by Maddes <maddes_trac@…>

reopened in #5303 as the issue still exists
