#6335 closed defect (fixed)

sysupgrade 8.09 not working

Reported by: bluse Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Bugs Paradise
Component: base system Version: Kamikaze trunk
Keywords: sysupgrade Cc:

From stable 8.09 I created a new image and flashed it via tftp to the Asus router and configured the interfaces. Ethernet & Wireless is working fine.
After adding/changing some parts in "make menuconfig" I compiled a new image and copied it to /tmp on the router. A "sysupgrade /tmp/openwrt-brcm.txt" was performed.
The router is not reachable any more over ethernet and wireless.
A serial connection shows that the current settings seem to be properly handled by sysupgrade. But the ifconfig "br-lan" shows that there are now "RX-out" packets, only TX-packets, if I try to pin from the Asus my machine.
The network settings look ok to me. Iḿ not shure what sysupgrade messes up here.
If I flash the second image manually by tftp it works fine.
