#6989 closed defect (obsolete)

Ad-Hoc network operates at maximum of 1.0 mbps on bcm43xx

Reported by: jeromepoulin@… Owned by: hauke
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: kernel Version: backfire 10.03 RC1
Keywords: wireless, adhoc, b43 Cc:

Description

When using an ad-hoc network on WRT54GL v1.1 on BackFire rc1/beta on kernel 2.6 with b43 wireless driver and beta, connection between 2 OpenWRT can't achieve higher speed than 1 mbps, same goes for connection between a machine and one of the 2 OpenWRT.
Using iw reg set CA to change country code from 00 to Canada didn't help. My network is on channel 1 which has no restriction whatsoever.
iw doesn't seem to have an interface to set TX speed, using iwconfig wlan0 rate 11M doesn't help neither.
